About Us
Together Arkansas is an opioid-response initiative founded by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Our mission is to educate Arkansas businesses on opioid-related issues and the vital role employers play in achieving a drug-free workforce.
In cooperation with the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP), we’re committed to providing companies with free resources, online tools, and drug-abatement strategies to help businesses across the state meet the challenges of the opioid crisis and build a safer workplace. ARORP was founded in 2022 by the Arkansas Municipal League and the Arkansas Association of Counties and represents an unprecedented, united front between the representatives of local government against opioid misuse in Arkansas.
The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce / Associated Industries of Arkansas
The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce / Associated Industries of Arkansas is the leading voice for business at the State Capitol and serves as the primary business advocate on all issues affecting Arkansas employers. Our mission is to promote a pro-business, free-enterprise agenda and prevent anti-business legislation, regulations and rules.
We work on issues that affect you and your employees around the clock. In Washington, D.C. and right here at home, the State Chamber is your advocate on issues such as the Employee Free Choice Act, health care, regulatory issues and workers’ compensation. Supporting the State Chamber is an investment in Arkansas’s future. By working with the State Chamber, businesses unite and achieve goals that simply would not be possible if each were working alone.

Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Founded in 1948, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is the largest health insurer in the state, trusted by employers to provide affordable, reliable health insurance for their employees. Our deep local roots in Arkansas afford us a unique understanding of our state’s health care challenges and opportunities at the heart of where care is delivered. We also recognize the challenges that Arkansas employers face with health care — whether you’re a company of 2 or 2,000 — helping balance the right decisions for your employees while watching out for your bottom line, navigating a complex health care landscape and fostering a more engaged culture of wellness. At Arkansas Blue Cross, we’re dedicated to putting better health care within reach for your employees and being a trusted advisor for where you want to be today and where you’re going tomorrow.
Arkansas Municipal League
The Arkansas Municipal League acts as the official representative of Arkansas cities and towns before the state and federal governments. The League provides a clearinghouse for information and answers, and offers a forum for discussion and sharing of mutual concerns. It fulfills its mission through legislative advocacy, optional benefits programs, training and educational opportunities, and various publications.

Association of Arkansas Counties
The Association of Arkansas Counties (AAC) was founded in 1968 and supports and promotes the idea that all elected officials must have the opportunity to act together in order to solve mutual problems as a unified group. To further this goal, the AAC is committed to providing a single source of cooperative support and information for all counties and county and district officials. The overall purpose of the AAC is to work for the improvement of county government in the state of Arkansas. The association accomplishes this purpose by providing legislative representation, on-site assistance, general research, training, various publications and conferences to assist county officials in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of their office.

ARORP
In 2022, the Arkansas Municipal League and the Arkansas Association of Counties came together to create the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP) with the funding from the master settlement from the National Prescription Opiate Litigation. ARORP funds evidenced-based programs and strategies to abate the opioid epidemic in Arkansas’s cities and counties and represents an unprecedented united front between the representatives of local government fighting against opioid misuse in Arkansas.
